Hawaii and Alaska collaborated on their 6-week Upward Bound programs for a truly unique experience. Using the theme of "One Ocean" the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Hawaii Maui hosted the combined group of students and instructors to tackle a theme of alternative energy.
Teaching through technology, the students learned how to feel safe in learning and working through community problems to give back to each of their communities. VIDEO LINK
